EXPERIENCE

While attending college, Walter worked with several architectural firms in the Austin area. Following graduation, he joined a major architectural firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He returned to his native home of Midland in the late 1970s and opened Pate &Associates. Active in many civic endeavors, Walter is a graduate of the "Leadership Midland" program.

Walter's extensive experience in the southeastern United States, Texas and New Mexico includes public and private projects such as master site planning, commercial offices, retail developments, health care projects, churches, schools, industrial projects, detention facilities and recreational projects. He also has considerable experience with energy conservation including active and passive solar energy applications.
